A soft, sweet, succulent date with a velvety texture and a delicious taste, Medjools were originally grown in Morocco exclusively for royalty. It wasn't until 1927 when disease threatened to destroy their trees, that Moroco sent 11 offshoots to the United States to prevent this delicious fruit from becoming extinct. Considered the ultimate delicacy, these are the largest dates grown in North America. They are hand selected for their superior quality and size. Our JUMBO Medjools are twice as large as all the other dates, yet they have a relatively small pit. These sumptuous dates make an exquisite gift, perfect for any occasion. Excellent for stuffing with your favorite filling such as cream cheese or peanut butter; adding to your favorite recipe; or just eating right out of the box. An elegant addition to any table, dates are always a welcome contribution to any gathering.
